Arnold Schwarzenegger is done being the governor, but he might not be done being the terminator. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 63-year-old has been eyeing a potential return to the Terminator franchise that created Arnie’s notorious catchphrase, “I’ll be back.” However, Schwarzenegger will not fully commit to the comeback until he sees a script and gets more specifics on the project.
The latest installment of the sci-fi franchise in 2009, Terminator Salvation, did not star Schwarzenegger. Instead, his computer-generated likeness made a cameo. The last film Schwarzenegger starred in was 2003′s Terminator 3: Best of the Machines, but he has still remained strongly connected to his role as the cyborg assassin in a black leather jacket.
While discussing his possible return to Terminator, Arnie is also bringing his role as the Governator, a semi-fictional cartoon superhero version of himself, to the small screen in an animated TV show and a comic book co-developed by the infamous co-creator of Spider-Man, Stan Lee, which is set to come out next year.
