Yesterday, I saw a man who looked uncannily like Elvis sweeping through the shops at Columbus Circle in a black shirt (collar wide open, bespeckled with sequins, obviously), with hair approximating a pompadour and a very throaty voice. He was alone, but was saying hello to everyone, and being that it was New York and not Vegas, locals were mostly ignoring him and tourists were giving him a really, really wide berth.
