Katy Perry Set To Make Music History

Like a cat ready to pounce, “Last Friday Night” (currently number 2) is predicted to overtake LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” on the Billboard Hot 100. If successful, Katy Perry becomes the first female artist to have five number 1 singles from one album. The only other person to do the same? Michael Jackson and his “Bad” album.

Katy currently holds six number 1 singles. With “Last Friday Night” in her arsenal, Katy ties with Lady Gaga and P!nk for the second-most number 1 singles; all of them one number 1 single behind Rihanna (say that five times fast). Even though Katy Perry and Lady Gaga come in second place for the amount of number 1 singles, they both tied with each other for the most consecutive singles on Billboard’s Pop charts (take that, Rihanna!).

While we wait for Katy Perry to claim the top of the Billboard charts with “Last Friday Night”, we can enjoy her other four singles from “Teenage Dream”.
