Is it his buttery voice?  His boyish charm?  His cheerful music video-making abilities?  What is it about Jason Reeves that is so incredibly likable?  Reeves is a young artist whose sincere lyrics coupled with the simple accompaniment of a guitar and a drum or two creates the perfect soundtrack for a breezy summer morning or a pick-me-up from a dreary winter afternoon.  His new album “The Lovesick” was released today, which includes tracks like the chipper and enchanting “Helium Hearts” and encouraging lead single “Sticks & Stones”, two tunes that, if they are not already, should be added to your music library posthaste.

“The Lovesick” also features duets with some impressive counterparts.  Colbie Caillat joins Reeves on “No Lies”, a slower tune about taking that leap of faith and opening up to someone.  Also, Kara Dioguardi and Reeves perform “No One Ever Taught Us” together, a song that in a interview with Shockya.com Jason deemed the one “that I am most excited about”.

While we are in the thick of a Bieber and Gaga takeover, it’s so nice to hear an artist who can shine with nothing more than pared down background music and their God-given talent.  Below I’ve included simple instructions to make your senses love you again.

Step one: Watch.

Step two: Download.
