Over the past few weeks, Swift has released several singles from her much-anticipated “Red” album, and it is clear from these few songs that Swift is sending out a completely new message to fans; she ditched her cowboy boots and curly hair for a sleeker look and a brand new sound!
Songs such as “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Red” (with the same name as Swift’s fourth album) give listeners more of a pop sound than they are used to hearing from the country superstar. However, tracks like “Begin Again”, a song about finding love after heartbreak, pays homage to Taylor’s warm and usual style. It is clear that she is giving fans something new, but is also still staying true to who she is and what she has always been about. Swift’s new album is set to be released on October 22, and from what we have already seen and heard, it will undoubtedly be huge, in traditional Ms. Swift style.
