For fans of Senses Fail and Envy on The Coast, Louisville based-rockers Uh Huh Baby Yeah! release “Dead Friends” a song tackling the departure of their guitarist and bass player head on. The stern track bangs from the start with an infectious message of pure anger. To complement the single release UHBY! have released an eerie music video filled with zombies, just in time for Halloween.

Kevin Fletcher (Lead Singer) elaborates on how the track is an open letter:
“Some things are better out in the open. This song is our response to some bad blood that came when members left the band. The rumor mill ran amuck with stories and we’d had enough. Instead of lying down and taking it, we decided to write a song about how we felt and call them out by name. So, in a way I guess we could say thanks. And fuck you.”

“As you lie through your teeth

And shoot from the hip

The lies that you’ve sold are worth more than gold”

UHBY! used footage from two different locations for their music video, one of which was during their Louisville Zombie Walk. The idea is that zombies are taking over the human population and UHBY! are just hanging out with them (hence all my friends are dead). “We made it a little politically charged, showing us picketing for zombie rights among other things”, stated Fletcher. The second location was in Otisco, IN where Sean’s family owned some property. Fletcher continued “We staked out this dark and eerie house which was over 100 years old for our performance shot playing on top of debris, trash, and other remains from the house”.
