A Purchase You Won’t Feel Guilty About

by

IT’S HERE. IT’S FINALLY HERE.
I’m talking about the holidays. Can you believe it? It feels like it was JUST summer. Whether we like it or not, it’s time to put on a brave face and tackle on the dreadful “holiday shopping.” (Okay, depending on who you are, shopping for presents can be a daunting task!) With the long lines, limited sizes, and everything… “Nobody got time for that!”
How about we introduce you to an option that could help set your shopping anxiety at ease? Enter Enjoy Essential, the brainchild of a woman named Cady back in 2013. Since then, she’s been designing items left and right. Not only does she design them, but she single-handedly takes care of absolutely every behind-the-scenes operation of Enjoy Essential! (Social media, packaging, etc.) Talk about #Girlboss!
Well, let me tell you that you’ll really enjoy these tees that say what’s on your mind for you. You can never have too many tees, right? And besides, tees go with everything, especially when you’re having a lazy day!
When you go check out her site and fall in love with the designs that say things like, “Sorry Coffee, This is a Job for Alcohol,” “Hangry,” or “I can’t even,” remember to give a big shout out to Cady for basically saying what we’re all thinking. The best part of every purchase? It gives back every single time.
At the end of each month, Cady takes the time to count exactly how many t-shirts she sold and buys that many meals to give to the less fortunate. According to her website, she “choose[s] a local organization […] in Northern California that are in need of non-perishables.” I mean, isn’t it good to know that with every purchase you make, it’ll be helping someone else? So hey, go crazy and buy as many tees as you want!
Another plus? She supplies t-shirts for your little toddlers, too! While you’re stocking up on your own stash, why not treat your lil one while you’re at it?

Happy shopping!

Tori Kelly for William Rast

by

If you haven’t heard yet, the YouTuber-turned-popstar Tori Kelly is the new face of William Rast (you know, the same William Rast that was founded by Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala in 2005?), and we think it’s about time. Back in October, Tori sent out a tweet announcing her big news to her trusted followers, along with the video ad campaign: a two-minute black-and-white clip featuring an absolutely flawless Tori Kelly with one handsome looking man and, oh yeah, clothes we want in our closet ASAP.
If you’re unfamiliar with William Rast, it’s “the denim culture brand for the ‘new America’, valued for delivering an edgy yet tailored collection of premium denim, ready to wear, tailoring, footwear, and accessories for both men and women.” What does that really mean? Fashionable clothing that you can wear almost anywhere and everywhere. Whether you’re going to run errands or you’re going on a special date, William Rast has got you covered.
Tori will be starring in the brand’s Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 campaign, and, based on the released promotional photos and video, expect to see a whole lot of fringe and leather. Our top choice would have to be the white studded fringe dress we snuck a peek at near the end of the promo vid. 2015 seems to be one really good year for Tori Kelly. Props to everyone over at William Rast who made us realize that Tori is undoubtedly the perfect candidate for this brand.

How to Wear Your Favorite Summer Trends into the Fall

by

Can you believe it’s already fall? 2015 is seriously flying by so fast that soon enough, we’ll all be worrying about what to wear when the ball drops on New Year’s Eve. Before we plan ahead, how about we discuss something that needs to be addressed: How in the world do we continue to wear our favorite summer trends in the fall? We’ve seen LOTS of trends popping up all over the place this summer, from bold white, off-the-shoulder tops to chunky heels, and much more. Now let us help you to continue rocking those items you dished your money on so you can keep the spirit alive! See below for our tips on how to wear your favorite summer trends into the fall.

Glamorous Drew Off-the-Shoulder Top, $42, nastygal.com

Off-The-Shoulder Tops
The summer heat may have given us weird tan lines if you were a fan of those off-the-shoulder tops, but once the fall comes, you won’t have to worry about that anymore. So how do you wear an off-the-shoulder top without looking like you just came back from the beach? Simple. Pair your tops with some long-length pants. In my personal opinion, I would opt out of the boho, wide-legged pants unless you’re going for the Coachella/bohemian vibe. Then by all means, go for it!

NIRVANA Chunky Sandals, $95, topshop.com

Chunky Platform Shoes
Your feet need loving, too. Platforms made its way back into our closets just when we thought we were done with them after their appearance back in the late ‘90s! So, you can’t pair them with your favorite daisy dukes or dress… but you know what goes best with them? Frilly socks. We’re talking about the ones that your mom used to make you wear when you were younger. Fan of the platform cut-out heels, perhaps? Bust out those stockings. They’ll cover your toes, plus make your shoes really pop.

ASOS Denim A-Line Mini Skirt With High Low Hem In Bitter Chocolate, $50.16, ASOS.com

Denim Button Up Skirts
Denim skirts made a huge comeback this summer, but it’s not the mini-skirts circa early 2000s. No—we’re talking about the ones that look really similar to the ones from the 1970s, and that’s why we’re obsessed. (I mean, come on. Fashion has a way of bringing back past looks!) Still attached to your skirt, but it’s a tad bit too cold for bare legs? This is a perfect example of where your tights come in. Better yet, you can rock tights in literally any color, and it’ll go with this skirt.
white out

Suit Up Tuxedo Romper in White, $78, nastygal.com

White Out
Forget what you hear about how you can’t wear white after Labor Day. Do whatever you want! You don’t need to listen to some fashion myth. White was seen everywhere, and you can easily slip this into your fall wardrobe this year. Without going into white overload every single time, pair your favorite white piece with a contrasting color to make it really pop.
lingerie

Kimchi Blue Serena Applique Bra, $39, urbanoutfitters.com

Delicate Lingerie
Rather than wearing their night slips for, well, the night, fashionistas have brought these looks outside the house. With the fact that colder temperatures are sure to make their way in, the only way to rock this thin material is by layering. Layers on layers on layers. That’s the only way to go, isn’t it?

The Best Fashion Apps to Download

by

Apps have taken over the world! Okay, not really, but it sure seems like it. There’s seriously an app for just about anything. You can order food on your phone for a restaurant of your choosing. You can send money to your friends through Venmo, PayPal, or even Snapchat! And just recently, you can keep up with your favorite Kardashian rather than waiting for the next episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
So, how do you know which one is the right one to even download and worth keeping on your phone? Lord knows our phones can only store so much. I can’t be the only one who hates the pesky little notification warning you that your phone has reached storage capacity. THE HORROR. How am I supposed to choose which photos I want to keep the most?! That’s why we’re breaking down the fashion apps that you should consider keeping. You know, next to Instagram and Twitter.
Depop
We’ve all got those piles of clothes where you regret spending your precious paycheck on a piece of clothing that you wore once or not at all! Fear not, check out Depop. It’s the latest selling app that many famous fashion bloggers are leaning towards to sell their items. Just think, you can be wearing the same items as your favorite blogger AND make fast cash at the same time!
Polyvore
If you’re familiar with the website, you’ll understand the concept on your phone. Bring Polyvore with you while you’re on the go. When you’re looking for some inspiration, you’ll have this in your back pocket.
Fad – The Ultimate Fashion Dictionary
Let’s say you’re out at some big fashion event and it happens: someone says a term you’re not quite familiar with, so you need to think fast on your feet. Rely on Fad AKA the ultimate helper for my fellow fashionistas who wouldn’t exactly call themselves an expert.
Stylekick
This is like Chictopia 2.0! Post your #OOTDs or #OOTNs and share with thousands on where you got your skirt. Better yet, if you like someone’s outfit and you’re dying to know where they got a particular item from, just click on it and you’re well on your way to adding that cute top or pair of shoes to your shopping cart!
Rent the Runway
NYFW may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re done fawning over what we saw! Instead of drooling over an item you think you’ll never be able to own, why not rent it? Seriously!
ASAP54
You know those moments where you’re casually clicking away on the internet and you find that ONE item that you find yourself frantically searching for? Fret no more! This app helps you with that exact problem. Instead of coming up with no results and a heartbreak, this will do the search for you.

Fashionable Phone Cases to Match Any Outfit

by

Phone cases are very much like the clothes in our closet. One day, we’re obsessed with a piece. We wear it all the time. Next thing you know, we see something nicer, prettier, cuter and we ditch the old piece for something new. It’s a never-ending cycle and we just can’t help but fall for it every single time!
If you’re like me, you have tons of old phone cases collecting dust in the corner of your room. Heck, since there are so many different iPhones out now, you probably have phone cases for pretty much every single model, right? You’re not alone. To keep up with the collection of cases you have now, here are some that should be on your radar since they match with almost everything (or they just make great stand alone pieces that will make heads turn)!

Wildflower Marble iPhone 6/6s Case (featured)

Who doesn’t like marble anything? Your marble designed nails can now match your marble designed iPhone case.

Kate Spade

Kate Spade ‘Why Hello There’ iPhone 6 case

This could be a pick up line/conversation starter all in one! This phone case can literally speak for you the next time you see a cute person near you.

Ted Baker

Ted Baker London ‘Hexwizz’ iPhone 6 Plus Folio

Sleek. Simple. Monochromatic. Honestly, what’s not to like about this case? Plus, it covers the screen so you will be positive that you won’t be scratching that precious screen because we all know how easy that can be!

Mophie

Mophie ‘Juice Pack Air’ iPhone 5 & 5s Charging Case

This is not your typical case. This can be a little on the heavier side than most, but for what it’s worth, this case can keep you fully charged the whole day. Personally, I’d go for a solid color like black (since black goes with pretty much everything). Oh, and my apologies. If you’re not familiar with Mophie cases, they’ll now be your best friend. These are battery pack cases for iPhones. Not only does it protect your phone, but it’ll recharge it whenever needed.

DVF

Diane von Furstenberg Metallic Snake iPhone 6 Case

Want a sure way to never lose track of your phone when it’s at the bottom of your purse? Add this case to your collection. DVF hit it out of the park with this gorgeous metallic snakeskin!

Rebecca

Rebecca Minkoff Paris Phone Bag
Again, not one of your typical phone cases but in a world where your cell is basically attached to one of your hands, you need a special case for this. You know, so that way you know for a fact you can whip out your phone at the perfect moment.

Rebecca Robertson

Scarlet & Gold Rebecca iPhone Case

This phone reminds me of some kind of art painting I’ve probably seen at some museum. Nonetheless, it’s perfect for those of us who are trying to bring a little color into an all-black wardrobe. Cream counts, right?

Feathers Case

Scarlet & Gold Feathers iPhone Case

Sensing some kind of theme from the previous cases? I thought you might as well throw in a wildcard like this white and green feathers case.

Patchwork

Net-a-Porter Patchwork elaphe iPhone 6 Case

To describe this as gorgeous is an understatement. Maybe not for those who are against using animal skin since elaphe is one of the main genera for rat snakes.

Shell Inlay

Bloomingdale’s Rafe New York iPhone 5/5s Case – Shell Inlay

This case reminded me of the popular 90s holographic aesthetic that has made a comeback within the last year. If you’re still into the 90s but still want to be in touch with the modern times, this is the one for you.

Hopefully one of these cases is in someone’s shopping cart after reading this! Let us know down below what you recommend for others to try!

Leather Tees Trend

by

Leather jackets are usually the number one item every fashionista basically NEEDS in their closet. Another thing you might want to add? A leather tee. Hear me out! I know you may be thinking, “Leather only looks good during a girls’ night out and in a nice, form-fitting skirt or dress.” This new trend may break everything you ever thought of before. Don’t believe me? Check out Brazilian Fashion Designer ALEXANDRINO’s latest ARTWEAR collection, and see for yourself. We can’t be the only ones swooning over these tees!
Rayza Garcia de Carvalho, the designer behind the Los Angeles-based brand ALEXANDRINO, debuted her F/W 2015 Ready to Wear collection along with the unique ARTWEAR collection. “Inspired by the designer’s Brazilian heritage, ALEXANDRINO puts forth both an effortless edge while classic [collection],” states the designer’s website. We completely agree.
It’s the authenticity of the tee that caught our attention. Each piece is hand-painted by a selected artist. ALEXANDRINO provides the canvas, but it’s the artists who make it truly unique. So far, designs from both artists Gretal Joffroy and Evan Mendel are sold out, but there are more to see soon from artist Kevin Spring and Rob Hill. In a previous interview, Rayza said, “Each shirt has a different emotion so it all becomes extremely unique, making it impossible to find two of the same. The artists change the colors and brush strokes with each creation. You can then see that no piece is like the other one, and you can see the painting styles and emotions of each artist through the shirts.”
You’re guaranteed you’ll never end up wearing the same thing as someone else ever again once you purchase one. What do you say? Don’t you think it’s time to give it a chance?
Check out the latest collections over at http://www.shopalexandrino.com/ to see how you can get your hands on one. Oh, P.S. Once they’re gone, they’re really gone. So it’s best you get your debit card out now while you’re at it!

The Best Summer Handbags of 2015
I know, we have almost one month left of summer and it’s breaks my heart just thinking about it. Seriously, where did the time go? Anyways, I don’t know about you but for me, summer is the perfect time to go out with your friends on fun trips or have a typical GNO. Sure, you got your outfit all decked out but did you forget about your handbag that carries all your necessities? Each year, I toss and purchase new bags to my collection and this year was no different. Here are some of the best summer handbags I’ve seen this year.
Cooperative Structured Bucket Bag
Just like bucket hats are a thing for the guys, bucket bags are a thing for the ladies. How can you deny bucket bags? I’d opt for the backpack-like ones but the choice is ultimately up to you!

Abercrombie and Fitch Reversible Faux Leather Tote
Speaking from experience, I fully support this purse. I know over the years, Abercrombie hasn’t had that much of a great reputation but let me tell you, they’re coming up again! You don’t know how many compliments I get regarding this purse and hearing this exact question, “Wait, that’s really Abercrombie?”

Eddie Borgo for Target Mini Backpack – Silver Mirror
I just saw this last week and I fell in love with it the second it caught my eye. With all these summer concerts and festivals, this is the PERFECT bag to hold all your things and to help make sure your friends can catch you a mile away when you’re off dancing to your favorite artist. Plus, is anyone else getting total 90s flashbacks or is that just me?
