Brows, brows, brows. They have taken over our Instagram feeds, how we look at our beauty routines, and are the inspiration for the popular #browsonfleek hashtag. Many of us can raise our hands and say we will never leave the house without our brows being “done.” And what does “done” mean, you ask? It includes filling in our brows with a gel pot, pencil, or brow gel, which is a beauty trend that started to make our brows bolder and more prominent as a facial feature.
The amount of clothing created each season can well surpass our imaginations. However, there is always a collection by a brand that sticks out and remains vivid in our minds, whether it’s for their well-crafted debut or an outspoken stand towards the fashion industry.
Hands down, awards season is one of our absolute favorite times for the Cliché family—besides NYFW, of course. It’s a moment made not only for well-deserved recognition, stellar red carpet looks, and who’s bringing who as a plus one chatter, but it’s also a moment frozen in time for the best beauty looks we will spot all year. We gain so much inspo while tuning in right at home for makeup to do’s to the next, you know, red carpet we’ll be seen in…i.e. the next wedding we’re invited to.
In the past year, we’ve seen a significant boom in small businesses, from their presence on social media to their rapid growth, success, and incredible fan base. It just so happens that each business we have come across and tagged as a small shop to watch is also founded and run by kickass women. Shout out to us ladies!
Here at Cliché, we have celebrity style crushes as much as anyone else. Whether it’s spotting our favorites on red carpets and ogling over their ensemble choices on social media or keeping track of their off-duty outfits to channel during our own everyday lifestyles, we all have our own book of celebrity style inspirations that we look to as our holy grails. We can never keep who or what we are loving to ourselves, so we of course are sharing with all of you the street style of our favorites celebrity that we cannot get enough of.
The time right after the holidays can feel slightly lackluster after all of the festivities filled with champagne, loved ones visiting from all over, and magical moments that have passed. Jumping straight back into the grind of our everyday lifestyles can be quite trying, and we understand the lack of inspiration that you might be going through. Whether you have experienced writer’s block, have swayed from your usual exercise routine, or have found it hard to motivate yourself after a long week—we’ve been there.
In the world of fashion, it’s safe to say that most pieces seem to be catered to the tall women who saunter down the catwalks every season. Yes, we’ll spot a petite gal every once in awhile doing her own thing, but the majority of fashion labels are not focused on women who are 5’4” or below. As a “shorty” myself, I completely understand the struggle of finding jeans that don’t cover my feet, skirts that won’t look like full-length gowns, and tops that aren’t meant to be oversized, but just happen to be so once on.
If you’re a blogger aficionado like the rest of us here at Cliché, then the blonde locks of this once New York-based blogger are hard to miss. Amber Fillerup Clark of Barefoot Blonde has dazzled us with her breathtaking lifestyle, spirited personality, and effortlessly graceful heart. Having first sparked our interest with her dream-like braided styles on Instagram and YouTube, Clark has shared her life with both readers and fans over the years through her blog and social media outlets that have bloomed into something mesmerizing each time.
We’ve seen them spotlighted in YouTube videos, raved about on our Twitter timelines, and shot hundreds of times in Instagram posts—but when it comes down to it, are these best-selling drugstore beauty products really worth the hype? Well, we’ve swatched them, bought them, tested them, shared them with friends, and we are now letting you in on all there is to know about the beauty products that have remained at the top of everyone’s charts. From the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation that sprouted from the K-beauty market to Wet n Wild’s makeup brushes that always seem to be sold out, read up on what is really worth it and what will not make your next trip to the drugstore totally worth it.
Every once in awhile, there is a fashion piece we see on the runway that instantly has us oohing and aahing, capturing our hearts like no other. Well, our hearts have been captured again, and this time it isn’t just for a fashion piece, but for a whole line—including the phenomenal designer behind its magical existence. At only 15 years old, Isabella Rose Taylor has broken the glass ceiling in the fashion industry with her youthful, fresh take on urban fashion, sophisticated personality, and passion to design clothing that are walking pieces of art.
Every blog out there has its own theme, aesthetic, and emotion that its creator strives to emulate in each post that is published. As one clicks over to Jenny Cipoletti’s blog Margo & Me, you find yourself emerged in an entire world filled with a Parisian atmosphere, romantic details, and feminine touches that remind us of a page ripped right out of an issue of Vogue Paris from the 1960s. It’s a blogging experience like no other, one that makes you want to visit again and again, one that will have your lips curving into a soft smile while scrolling through it.
The neighborhoods are filled with soft lights and bright lawn ornaments, peppermint is added into everything, and holiday classics are playing on the radio. We say it every year, but we’ll say it again: my, how fast the holidays have come. As we fill our handbags with shopping lists, try to score the best deals out there, and decorate our homes in time for our family visits, it’s quite incredible how we even manage to get gift shopping done. If you’re not an early bird who gets everything crossed off their list by the end of November (guilty as charged), don’t stress yourself out over it.
