The holidays are always a sweet time to gift the loved ones in your life with just a little something extra. From the year’s hottest gadget to a sentimental item with a favorite memory behind it, there’s no denying that there are plenty of ideas out there. Cutting it down to the perfect gift, though, can prove to be a challenge. With department stores, Etsy shops, websites, and much more advertising non-stop during the holidays, it can feel almost impossible to choose just one.
This past year, I have seen many people, both ones I follow and admire on social media as well as dear friends of mine, start YouTube channels with such gusto that made it seem so simple and effortless. I mean, all you have to do is turn on a camera and start talking, right? For some, it may seem like such a natural thing to do, but for others—including myself—throwing yourself onto the Internet via video can make you feel a bit vulnerable, and maybe even self-conscious. With so many YouTubers out in the world blowing up over what feels like overnight, joining such a community can sometimes come off as being intimidating.
Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday—what can I say? It’s the foodie in me. And if you’re as much of a foodie as I am, you may be in the same bandwagon. Don’t feel any shame! It isn’t about stuffing your face with everything in sight (even though we’re all going to be doing this, and that’s okay); instead, it’s about how food brings everyone together
At Cliché Magazine, it is no secret how much love we have for bloggers all year round. Every issue though, there is that one influencer whose Instagram photos we cannot help but double tap more than once and whose blog posts have us catching up on the ones published years ago. This time, it’s blogger Francesca Felix of Frank Vinyl who has us hitting replay on all of her fetching outfit combinations, helpful and stylish posts, and of course, social media networks. Having been born and raised in the golden state of California, Francesca Felix is a pro at making an effortless statement in each of her fashionable looks.
Warm tones, metallic details, and rich hues—the color palette of fall is hands down one of my favorites. Whether I’m creating a daytime look with variations of browns and oranges, or it’s a night out and I’m feeling a bit mysterious with deep plum and burgundy pigments, it’s a season where you can be inspired by everything. From crisp, fallen leaves to spooky Halloween movies, you can make a look from it all with the help of a versatile eyeshadow palette. The question is, though, which one do you pick? With so many eyeshadow palettes making their debut every season, it can be a task in itself trying to choose which ones to add to your shopping cart.
Makeup trends are constantly being invented, so a refresher on what is trending each season is the perfect way for us beauty babes to be in the know of what is currently in! Some of you may remember the makeup trends that were presented on models during FW ‘16, but for those of you that don’t, fear not. We’re here to rewind what sashayed down those catwalks so you are prepared for what will be raging during this year’s fall and winter seasons.
Restyling our wardrobes is always an exciting time for us to not only reclaim our personal style, but to take a chance and experiment. It’s a moment to reach outside our closet’s comfort zones for that eclectic print we’ve been doubting, a color we’re not used to, or a trend we never thought we would have the nerve to try. Now, when it comes to tossing out the old and making room for the new, choosing what we want to add into our closet palettes can be a thoughtful process.
Halloweekend has come and gone with its autumnal drinks, horrifying, yet hilarious decor, and epic costumes that we’ll be reminiscing about until next year’s spooky festivities. However, just because the weekend is over doesn’t mean the fun has ended. Halloween is finally here, and despite it being a Monday, we’re showing you how to keep the ghoulish vibes alive even while working from 9-5. Christine Andrew, creator of fashion brand ILY Couture, has made our stylish wishes come true once again with her Halloween collection.
It’s no secret that Instagram is one of our favorite social networks ever created to share photos of who we are and what we love with the world. Making your Instagram into something “Instagram worthy” has become a social media goal for many of us in the past year. From monochromatic themes to colorful photos that just pop off of our screens—we’re constantly not only looking to create the best Instagram accounts out there, but to follow them too.
It feels like only yesterday when I was rushing from fashion show to fashion show during New York Fashion Week with Editor-in-Chief of Cliché, Megan. That was last year, though, and here we are again; another season of NYFW having come and gone, one that was filled with endless celebrity sightings, head-turning streetwear, awe-inspiring collections, and models that have you crushin’ non-stop. The addictive feeling created by NYFW is one like no other; it’s a time that makes many people just wanna pick up and move there. And we don’t blame ya! Being engulfed by fashion and inspiration around every corner is something we all would love to have year-round. For a lot of us, though, NYFW may be something we are still drooling over from our computer screens. Luckily, Cliché is always here to share with you what we witnessed during this iconic time that sometimes feels like a split second.
As temperatures begin to dwindle down and that familiar fall air begins to settle in, we bid adieu to our summer daze and say hello to a season filled with pumpkin spice lattes and scary movies. Ending our summer romance is never easy no matter how many times we go through it, but this time around the heartbreak doesn’t hurt as much with a new fashion brand on our radar. Set your heart on a brand based in Sydney, Australia, where summer never seems to end. Influenced by the song “Que Sera, Sera” (whatever will be, will be) by Dorris Day, Morrisday The Label represents moving with life wherever it may take you, and whatever it may bring you.
All white schemes, boho touches, minimal aesthetics and D.I.Y details are just some of the popular ways to decorate bedrooms these days. No matter what you gravitate towards though, decorating your space into something that will inspire you every time you walk into it should be at the top of your list. Now, with all of the Pinterest and Tumblr worthy rooms shared out there, it’s safe to say that we can all be a little indecisive when it comes to decorating—or redecorating, for that matter.
