5. Silicone
Silicone can be found in moisturizers, anti-aging products, makeup, shampoo, and so many other products that we all use every single day. Recent studies have shown high levels of silicone (a non-biodegradable substance) in waterways and in fish (particularly alarming if you’re a big fish eater). Silicone is, simply, not something you want in your body or in your water, and it’s easy to find all-natural products that leave it out of their formula.
