Singer/Actress Willow Smith, the 13 year old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, posed in two photos with 20 year old actor Moises Arias. The black and white images seem to be stirring up some extreme controversy via social media. In the photos which appear on Arias’ Tumblr page, the “Whip My Hair” singer lies in bed next to Arias.
While Smith wears jeans and a top and stares off into the distance, Arias is shirtless and sits up. Although there is no touching or physical action shown in the photos, they have definitely raised a few eyebrows in the social media world. Although the photos still remain on Arias’ Tumblr page, he has recently deleted them from his Instagram account.
Moises Arias the Actor/Musician who once starred opposite Miley Cyrus as Rico on Hannah Montana, is close friends with Willow and her brother Jaden, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner, which is well documented on his Tumblr page through various snapshots. He even appeared to have hung out with the group during Coachella last month in Indio, Calif.
The real question is should this be viewed as a controversial issue or just a pair of friendly photos? Due to the 7 year age gap between Arias and Smith, I would say that the sultry black and white set up on a bed might not have been the best idea. Willow is still very young and even though some of her celebrity friends may be a little older, she should still be cautious of the situations she gets herself into because when you are constantly in the spot light reputation means everything. Will and Jada don’t seem to have much of an issue with Willow Smith’s controversial photos, and I guess that’s all that really matters. I wish Willow the best of luck in her career and hope that these photos don’t tarnish her precious reputation.
