Girl Meets World First Official Trailer!

by

girl meets world
OH-EM-GEE. Disney Channel just released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World.
Watch the trailer here!
As a self proclaimed Boy Meets World super fan, I was ecstatic to hear that there was going to be a spin-off of the wildly popular 90’s sitcom. For those of you who have never seen an episode of Boy Meets World, stop everything you’re doing and go watch it right now. Even though I was only a baby when the show initially aired, I grew up watching re-runs and grew to love it.
Girl Meets World is set to air on Disney Channel and focuses on the children of 90’s power couple, Cory and Topanga Matthews. Rowan Blanchard is set to play their daughter and Eonline reports that some familiar faces such as Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny!) will make cameos throughout the show. (Eonline)
Disney has not announced an official premiere date, but it’s set to debut this summer!
Now time for the Feeny call…FEE-HEE-HEENAY!

Honey Maid Responds to Hateful Messages

by

honey
Honey Maid, the popular graham cracker brand, recently released a commercial titled “This is Wholesome” displaying diverse families enjoying their product. An interracial and same-sex couple were shown which sparked outrage among many people.
Check out the original commercial here.
Although there was also a positive response to this commercial, the negative comments being splattered across the web were too many to ignore. This commercial was meant to “celebrate all families”, as stated by a rep from Honey Maid. (Eonline)
In a twist of events, Honey Maid asked two artists to take all the negative comments received about the commercial and turn them into something positive. The true essence of what they did can only be experienced visually, check out the response video below.
Here’s the response video, truly beautiful.
Honey Maid, you are awesome. Thank you for taking the steps to transform negativity into positivity.

Kim Kardashian Finally Graces the Cover of Vogue

by

After much controversy regarding whether or not the queen of reality TV, Kim Kardashian, would grace the cover of Vogue magazine, the April edition was released with Kardashian and her fiancé, Kanye, front and center. (Eonline)
There has been some backlash after the release of the cover as well as many parody pictures. Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar tweeted, “Well……I guess I’m canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???” in response to the cover. (Eonline) Seth Rogen and James Franco also released a photoshopped version of the cover with their faces placed on Kim and Kanye’s bodies.

Vogue Magazine has been used to showcase some of the world’s most powerful cultural icons, which is why there has been so much controversy surrounding Kim Kardashian’s appearance on the cover. There are those who argue that a reality star should not be considered a cultural style icon. This is the way the world is moving and we’re happy that Kim finally got what she wanted.
Congrats to all!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

by

In honor of today, March 17th, being Saint Patrick’s Day, it seemed appropriate to divulge a list of celebs who you may (or may not) know are Irish! From the obvious being Bono and Liam Neeson, did you know that Niall Horan of the ultra popular boy band “One Direction” is the only member of the band to hail from Ireland and not England? Colin Farrell, Michael Fassbender, Pierce Brosnan, and Sinead O’Connor also make the list of famous Irish celebs. (Eonline)

And as the Irish saying goes, “If you’re lucky to be Irish, you’re lucky enough!”

Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care

by

Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care is a fabulous product available for purchase at thermalhaircare.com. Available in a variety of colors and patterns, Hot Head is essentially a terry cloth heating pad for your hair. After showering, partially drying your hair, and applying conditioner, you pop Hot Head in the microwave for 2 minutes to heat up. When fully heated, you place the cap on your conditioned hair and leave for up to 45 minutes. After the timer is up, you remove the cap, allow your hair to cool for five minutes, and then wash out the remaining conditioner. The process is so simple, yet so effective! Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care includes full instructions along with a bag of plastic shower caps to be placed on hair before the Hot Head.
As a girl who has dyed her hair MANY times, it is extremely dry. I was blessed (not) with naturally dry hair to begin with, so the effects of multiple dying sessions have not been kind. When told about Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care, I was skeptical because I have tried just about every deep conditioning method known to man with zero results. After the first use of Hot Head, I knew it was an amazing product. After my hair dried, I could immediately feel the positive effects of Hot Head because the softness of my hair was something I had never felt before. I’ve been using Hot Head every other day for the past week and my hair has honestly never looked or felt better. The shine, the softness, the overall healthiness of my hair has GREATLY improved due to the Hot Head product. I love love love Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care and recommend it to anyone who wants to have flawless hair!
Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care is available for purchase at thermalhaircare.com.
Feeling lucky? We are also giving two Hot Heads away this month! Enter here, but hurry! The giveaway ends on March 14.

Headed for Splitsville

by

It was just announced that the stars of TLC’s “Little People, Big World“, Matt and Amy Roloff are separating after 26 years of marriage. (TMZ.com)
When watching the last season you could tell that there was trouble brewing between the couple, but knowing they have four children together makes it that much more difficult.
Reality television has not been kind to married couples over the years, with most of them splitting within the duration of their show. We wish this couple the best and hope that each one of them finds happiness in their own way!

Deposition Drama!

by

Bieber
TMZ recently obtained Justin Bieber’s deposition video regarding the allegations of him and one of his “posse” assaulting a paparazzo. (Eonline) The whole deposition video was almost painful to watch because of Bieber’s childish and downright obnoxious behavior.
One would think that in a serious matter such as this, 20-year-old Bieber would behave in a more mature way, but it was seen within the video that he clearly has a lot of growing up to do.
There were multiple questions about Selena Gomez that sparked a debate between both lawyers of the relevance pertaining to the trial at hand. One thing is for certain when it comes to all of the drama surrounding the Bieb’s, he needs to get his attitude under control or he might as well kiss his career goodbye.

And the Oscar Goes To…

by

selfie
Sunday night marked the biggest night of the year in entertainment, The 86th Annual Academy Awards. With all of the incredible motion pictures, actors, and actresses nominated, the academy had an exceptionally tough decision on their hands. The night was filled with wonderful surprises and hilarious jokes from second-time host, Ellen Degeneres. Here’s a list of the big winners!
Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto, Dallas Buyer’s Club
– Leto’s speech was adorable. He talked about his mom (who was also his date, too cute) and how important Dallas Buyer’s Club was to those who have died of AIDS.
Best Supporting Actress: Lupita Nyong’o, 12 Years A Slave
– Not only did Lupita look absolutely divine in her stunning princess gown, but her acceptance speech ended with one of the most inspiring quotes I’ve ever heard, “When I look down at this golden statue, may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.” (Huffington Post)
Best Actor: Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyer’s Club
– Alright, Alright, Alright! Possibly the smoothest man in the world, McConaughey’s speech was just as cool as him. The best part was when he offered up this piece of wisdom,”There’s three things that I need each day. One of them is something to look up to, another is something to look forward and another is someone to chase.” (Christian Post)
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine
– Looking fabulous in her shimmering gown, Blanchett was humbled by her win and thanked all the other amazing women in her category.
Best Motion Picture: 12 Years A Slave
– An emotional roller coaster film, 12 Years A Slave deserved to win the biggest award of the night as well as the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
(Information courtesy of Eonline)
Congratulations to all the winners! We’re sure they partied till the break of dawn and enjoyed every moment of it! 🙂
With regards to fashion, Kate Hudson absolutely killed it in her shimmering Atelier Versace gown. More fabulous fashions came from Jennifer Lawrence in her radiant red, low-peplum Dior Couture and Sandra Bullock in her deep blue Alexander McQueen stunner. The men looked quite dapper themselves, with the suave Jared Leto in Saint Laurent and Zac Efron in Calvin Kline Collection. We give the fashion an A+! (Eonline)

Personal Best!
The best moment of the night was when host, Ellen Degeneres, handed out pizza to the biggest movie stars in the biz. (Surprise! Many of them actually ate it!) Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie each took a piece, along with Jennifer Lawrence, Harrison Ford, and Julia Roberts. Why weren’t we invited to the world’s most star studded pizza party?
We hope everyone enjoyed the Oscars and a big congratulations to all the winners!

Jackie and Kelso Forever

by

mila
It’s official ladies and gentleman, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are engaged. (Eonline) The “That 70’s Show” couple have been dating for a couple months now and are said to be happier than ever. Casting directors really know what they’re doing when it comes to matchmaking. All we need is for John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer (aka Jim and Pam) to tie the knot to officially consider casting people modern day soulmate finders. Although the happy couple has not officially announced their engagement, Kunis was spotted wearing a rather large diamond ring on her wedding finger the other day. Here’s to hoping they have a fabulous life together, (and maybe a 70’s themed wedding) 🙂
