Vint & York Interview

by

Vint & York is leading the way in trendy and affordable eyewear. The 1920’s vibe of the brand incorporates its chic, vintage-inspired frames with quality materials to give its customers a glamorous look for an affordable price. Owner Larisa Ginzburg combined her 10-year experience in optical consulting and love of design to create Vint & York. “While working with multiple brands and engaging in daily consumer interaction, I came up with the realization that there is a need and strong demand in the consumer marketplace for eyewear that is both comfortable and stylish, as well as affordable,” Ginzburg said.

The completely online store makes shopping for your next pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses a breeze. Catering to your schedule, Vint & York lets you choose the frame best for you from the comfort of your own home. “Customers can narrow down their selection by searching for specific size of frames online. In addition, we have an interactive feature known as the Virtual Try On which enables customers to upload their picture and see how the glasses will look on their face,” Ginzburg said. Vint & York also offers a free 7-day trial period that gives customers the opportunity to pick up to five frames to try on from home.

Vint & York debuted its 2014 collection full of unique frames at the Barbershop in Manhattan during New York Fashion Week. “It was a great and exciting experience that enabled us to present our exclusive line of eyewear and sunglasses in an atmosphere that was both unique and intimate, combined with an interactive presentation,” Ginzburg said.

The frames of the 2014 collection are sophisticated and classic, but mixes an air of playfulness with the array of bright colors and patterns that they are available in. The modern twist keeps Vint & York fresh and appealing to eye and sunglass wearers who are looking to sharpen their look.

“We concentrated on timeless classic styles and drew inspiration from different eras and elements ranging from vintage apparel and accessories, to just good old American ingenuity,” Ginzburg said. “The result was a collection featuring unique, yet classic and flattering shapes that fit comfortably and come in a variety of bright hues and textures.”

“We anticipate that the Cat Eye is going to be huge this season in both eyeglass frames as well as sunglasses. Men tend to gravitate towards smaller, classic round shapes as well as aviator shapes in both acetate and in metal,” Ginzburg said.
