James Gunn Fired By Disney For Row Of Offensive Tweets; No Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

by

Upon closer inspection of James Gunn's Twitter feed, a slew of offensive tweets have come to light. Gunn didn't write anything too disrespectful comments himself but making light of sensitive topics like pedophilia and rape is just as bad. As a result, Disney has cut all ties with Gunn, dropping him from the production of ...

by

Set for release in March 2019, Captain Marvel is the first Marvel comics universe film to be scored by a woman composer. The lucky lady, Pinar Toprak, recently wrapped up scoring the first season of the Syfy Network’s show “Krypton.” In addition, she composed some additional music for DC’s “Justice League,” which according to Variety, ...

‘Deadpool 2’ Review

by

Was Deadpool 2 worth watching? It’s Deadpool! Of course it's worth watching Ryan Reynolds take hold of his sarcastic comedic self and turn it into a lovable potty-mouthed badass superhero. If you thought having just one installment of Deadpool was enough to fulfill your geeky comic books dreams, then you are wrong. Deadpool 2 is ...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2: Same Guardians, Different Galaxy

by

The ’80s music nostalgia, the intergalactic action sequences, and the ingeniously comedic banter between characters are some of the few reasons why the first Guardians of the Galaxy was so enjoyable to watch. This second installment touches on the same successful moves while providing a distinct tone that reveals the unique direction. This tone provides more emphasis into the main characters and harps on some of the same moments that were loved from vol. 1. Instead of a heavy focus on action, this film focuses on the story and character development, introduces some dark elements to mix, and yet keeps the humorous elements that made us love the first film.

Iron Fist Review: Barely Had Any Power in Its Punch

by

This latest Marvel Netflix show before the culmination of these Marvel shows with The Defenders was definitely built on a significant amount of fan hype and justice for the comic book character. Unfortunately, the martial arts superhero show barely had any power in its punch coming off with some decent action sequences and a good supporting character but overall leaving a very lackluster, dull, and structure-less taste.

Why You Should be Watching ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

by

There are a ton of comic book shows to keep up with, and just me, I keep up with them all. But one show that doesn’t seem to get as much love as it deserves, though it has been changing, is Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show struggled to find its footing in the first season and has its ups and downs, but you have to stick with it. Trust me. This latest season has an established cast that meshes well together. Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy, Iain De Caestecker as Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Simmons, and Henry Simmons as Mack, as well as every other cast member, work so well together. And lord knows my heart is hurting after Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) and Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse) left the show. (Only because they are off to another stand-alone Marvel show that of course I’m going to watch.)

‘Deadpool’ Review

by

Hi, I’m movie blogger, Emilio Giron, and I’m writing about a modestly budgeted superhero movie titled Deadpool.  It stars reasonably handsome color book enthusiast turned super actor Ryan Reynolds. He plays the movie’s titular character, Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson, Marvel Comic’s “Merc with a Mouth.”  Like most romance movies, this is the usual run-of-the-mill Valentine’s ...
