Essential Wardrobe Pieces You Need For Spring Break

Every year, students highly anticipate the one week of freedom that the spring season brings. That freedom brings fresh air and warmth into their hectic lives. It brings them hope that the semester is halfway through and is close to being over, reminding them that they are making progress. For some of them, it might be the last time they’ll ever have this kind of freedom, so they want to make the most of it. It promises them a break; a break from all assignments, exams, and hopefully work. That freedom is the one and only Spring Break. Whether you’re going on vacation or staying home, you’re going to look fabulous doing it with these Spring Break outfit inspirations and tips.

Spring Getaway Essentials from L*Space

This winter was sort of an odd one in New York, with a mixture of snow, sun, wind, and all the weather in between. However, now that it’s finally spring, we’re ready for the truly warm weather and gorgeous sunny days. What better way to start getting in the mood for the nicer weather than planning for spring break? If you haven’t made any plans yet to get away, here are some spring break essentials from L*Space by Monica Wise that will get you dreaming of the beach.

When describing fashion designer Monica Wise, think “glam surfer,” “fashion forward,” and “beach babe” because that’s exactly what she is. Her heart lies with the beach and it shows with her company L*Space. An award-winning brand for seven consecutive years and named “2010 Mercedes Benz Swimwear Designer of the Year,” it seems as though Wise is just scratching the surface within the fashion and swimwear industry. Wise’s biggest inspiration, of course, comes from her love of the beach, but more specifically, beaches that she’s visited upon her travels, such as Mexico, Bali, and France, and boy, does that mean she has a look for you. Here’s to checking off your beach babe woes as you get ready for that spring break getaway!
Black Two Piece Swimwear
To start off things off, we’re going with the Lizzie Wrap Top, retailing for $86, and the Marilyn Bottom, retailing for $99. The high neck top covers and secures while the cinched high-waisted bottom helps cover up those who are a little self-conscious about their midriff. Both looks are extremely popular and equally flattering no matter what your figure. Not to mention, the Lizzie Wrap Top doubles as a swimwear top as well as a halter—perfect for those days you have festivals planned over the summer or want quick, easy, multi-functional articles of clothing while traveling. The Marilyn bottom helps you channel your inner pin-up girl, and adds a little sexiness Marilyn Monroe would be proud of, with what the brand refers to as “shirred” detail on each side and a bitsy coverage.
LSpace Cover Up
The Summer Breeze Cover Up, retailing for $145, transitions effortlessly from the perfect beach cover up to your go-to cardigan for a night out on the town. The full length shows you’re up on the latest fashion trends while the crochet knit fabric offers a bohemian princess vibe that will make everyone swoon.
LSpace Black Top Sandals
To wrap up your look, don’t forget to include high-quality leather Italian L*SPACE by Cocobelle Sandals, retailing for $229. These cuties add to your seamless bohemian princess vibe while the metallic stud detailing and a double fit adds a little bit of attitude to your look. They’ll show that you’re a girl who can have fun, but also not one to be messed with.

Spring To Do List

Who says you have to go somewhere exotic to enjoy your spring break? There are lots of things you can do locally or even right at home. Spring break is just about enjoying your time off from work, school, or life in general. You can find a lot of things to do around your area; you just have to be creative. Here are some suggestions.

  • If you are in the mood to be pampered (who isn’t?), visit your local spa. Massage Envy has tons of packages to choose from ranging from facials to customizable massage therapies. You can also call up a couple of friends and make it a girls’ day out.
  • A Tiki party is a great theme for spring break. Just stop by your local Party City and pick up some exotic decor. The great thing about this party is that it doesn’t have to stop once it gets dark; just make sure you pick up some tiki lights. As for the food, look up some Hawaiian inspired recipes online and bring out the grill.
  • Rent a hotel room with a couple of your friends for the weekend. If you are dying to feel the spring break vibe, then this is a pretty good idea. You can check Travelocity and search for a hotel near you. A plus would be a hotel with a pool!
  • Grab some friends and family and take a dinner cruise. Music, dancing, food, and great scenery… it doesn’t get better than that. If you live in the tri-state area there are always ships cruising around the Statue of Liberty. If you’re interested in this and want more information, visit spiritcruises.com.
