Do you remember how crazy everyone was going over rompers when they came back in style a couple of summers ago? If you loved that trend, good news, rompers are still in for summer 2018! But if you want something a bit more daring, with a classy twist, why don’t you try out a full-length ...
It's Memorial Day, which for most people means that summer is here. What better way to celebrate the unofficial start of summer than with a pair of trendy summer sunglasses to help block out the inevitable blaring sun? The 2018 summer sunglass trends are sure to have something for everyone. The days of big, bulky ...
You deck the halls with lights that twinkle, light fires that burn shimmering embers, fill glasses with dazzling champagne, and only play with sparkles on the eve of a new year. But who’s to say the magic of all that glitters ends there? Leave behind the notion that you can only rock glitter on the most special of days, and instead, indulge in your inner child by getting your hands a little sparkly. You don’t have to douse yourself in a vat of costume glitter to celebrate this trend because the wonderful world of cosmetics has made it possible for you to join in on the fun without the mess.
If you’re anything like me, when you think plaid, you immediately think Gossip Girl. Images of Serena and Blair galavanting around the Big Apple in short plaid skirts and headbands plague your mind, and you can’t seem to shake that stigma. You would never go out in plaid for fear of coming across as a Waldorf wanna-be. Toss that stereotype behind you because plaid is in this season, and even Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang agree.
We all know how quickly trends come and go, but beauty trends tend to be a bit more long-lasting than others. From brows to braids, summer 2017 has trends that everyone will love and can totally play around with. These are some of the beauty looks you can rock this season to take your salty-haired, sun-kissed style to the next level.
If you’re like me, you basically only know Gwyneth Paltrow as Margot Tenenbaum and can hardly name another movie she’s in (save for checking her IMDB, which I just did). If you were born after the late ’90s, though, there’s a decent chance you only know Paltrow because of her self-proclaimed status as a modern health guru and lifestyle aficionado. I spent a lot of time being irritated that Margot Tenenbaum, my favorite chain smoking idol, had become a “lifestyle influencer” toting $125,000 dumbbells and $1,000 toilet paper because how could that not be infuriating? The dark, lethargic Wes Anderson character that I’d known and adored for so long had become now the poster child for clean eating and vaginal steaming.
Now that New York Fashion Week is over, we’re having major post-show feels. The show was one for the books—from athleisure to formal wear, there wasn’t a single moment where our eyes weren’t glued to the beautiful models strutting the trendiest looks across the runway. Our fashion editors were in the front row, snapping pictures of clothes and accessories that are to die for. Fashion designers like Oscar de la Renta, Rag & Bone, and Vivienne Tam blessed the runway this year, giving us major inspiration to upgrade our wardrobes.
We all know that New York Fashion Week is the ultimate preview for what will be in for the upcoming seasons, but sometimes it can be hard to decipher what NYFW actually means for spring/summer trends. Who has the time to sift through all of the different shows and pick out what will actually become a trend, and what will stay behind at the event? We do, of course. We have put together an easy guide for what you should be wearing come warmer months.
Anyone who knows me knows that white lace is my thing. Though some may say I buy too much of it, it is the quintessential style to own for summer, and Muehleder has the ideal balance of dressy and casual wear for the upcoming summer season. When shopping their latest collection, I found the Claire Lace Jumpsuit (above). This romper, though slightly revealing, could be dressed up for graduations, ceremonies, and nicer events. Pair it with classy heels and you have an outfit for any dressy occasion.
Spring is finally here, and in celebration of the warmer weather, we are bringing you the pieces you need to have in your wardrobe this season. While I am definitely not a proponent of replacing your entire wardrobe each season with the latest and greatest items, there is no harm in investing in accessories that will uplift your look—and these will certainly do the trick.
Patiently—or maybe not so patiently—waiting for warmer weather has us dreaming of maxi dresses, sandals, and crop tops. What we aren’t dreaming of is how to adequately navigate the transition between seasons. While you want to jump right into warm weather fashions, the weather outside is telling you a different story. Here are the best tips to looking great, while still being prepared for the often unexpected weather that comes with spring.
